On November 7, 2025 we had the joy of presenting at the Colorado Science Conference at the CSU Spur campus in Denver—and what an inspiring day it was! The conference was filled with engaging sessions, fresh ideas, and wonderful conversations with teachers from across Colorado. We loved connecting with so many educators who bring curiosity and creativity to their classrooms every day!

A standout moment was Temple Grandin’s keynote address. Her insight, passion, and deep commitment to understanding how students think and learn were truly inspiring. It was an honor to hear her speak and take away ideas that will continue to shape our work.

During the Little Shop of Physics hands-on session, teachers got to dive right into making their own raindrop bottles, density bottles, balance buddies, and even coherers—simple, playful tools to spark wonder back in their classrooms. The room was buzzing with creativity and conversation, making it a joyful way to round out the day.

Don’t know what a coherer is? They’re fascinating little devices with a surprising history—and you can build one yourself! Check out this walkthrough and try it at home or in your classroom.

Overall, presenting at the Colorado Science Conference was a fantastic experience. We left feeling energized, grateful, and excited to keep sharing science in fun, hands-on ways with educators across the state.
