LSOP in Action: St. Francis Indian School
During our Fall 2025 trip to South Dakota, the Little Shop of Physics team made its first visit to St. Francis Indian School on the Rosebud Sioux Reservation. Throughout the day, more than 550 students from pre-K through 12th grade explored nearly 100 hands-on science experiments, discovering physics through curiosity, creativity, and play.
This visit was made possible through a collaboration with Oglala Lakota College, the Colorado State University Native American Cultural Center, and educators from Sinte Gleska University. Together, we created an engaging learning experience that brought students, teachers, and volunteers together around the shared joy of science.
