EveryDay Science: Magnetism Part 9

In Everyday Science, Shopcasts and Videos

The EveryDay Science Team investigates a phenomenon called induction. A changing magnetic field near a coil of wire creates (or induces) an electric current. This is how most of the electricity we use on daily basis is generated.

The energy to move the magnet can come from many places such burning fuels to create steam or using the wind to turn a turbine.
