The first day of our Pine Ridge road trip, generously funded by our Halliburton STEM Pathways grant. We saw 300 students, aided by a bunch of folks in tie dye. We had Little Shop staff and interns, College of Natural Science Outreach Scholars, staff and students from Oglala Lakota College, and our friends from Generations Indigenous Ways. Each student (and all of the teachers and staff at the school) took home a giveaway bag with Halliburton rainbow glasses, buzzing magnets, a hand lens, and sunburn beads.
