What Interns Do

The heavy lifting — both figuratively and literally — is done by our the student interns. CSU undergraduate student-interns are the heart, soul, and muscle behind the LSOP. Everything that the LSOP does is designed and presented by undergraduate CSU students. The LSOP interns work together as a team to create an accessible, engaging, and fun science experience for K-12 students.

What Interns Learn

Little Shop interns work with our professional staff to design, build, and maintain hands-on science experiments and present them to K-12 students. There are work days and school visits during the week as well as occasional evening and weekend events.

What Do We Offer

Working with the Little Shop is a great chance to be creative, to work with a wonderful group of people, to travel, to be a role model to younger kids, and to learn some science concepts in depth.  It’s a chance to learn and grow while giving something back, and it’s a great springboard to many other opportunities on campus and beyond.
