A highlight of this year’s involvement with the CNS Learning Community was a class we co-taught with Allie Keller. In two sections of the class, we offered 40 students an introduction to science and communication.

Each student in the class worked as part of a team, assisted by the Little Shop crew, to construct a hands-on science experiment station. We set these stations up at area schools in Fall, 2016; all told, we shared programs with over 200 K-12 students. Several students from the class also took part in an extended road trip to the Pine Ridge reservation—and two of the students in the class are now interns with the Little Shop.

Joras, third from left, was part of the class; now he is part of the team.
